Mickledore is a regional development consultancy made up of a team of experienced specialists and has emerged from 'big 4' consulting organisations.
From the 1st of April 2010, local authorities have a legal duty to undertake Local Economic Assessments (LEA). The purpose of the LEA is to improve the evidence base around economic issues so as to provide a common understanding of locality to inform policy and priorities and will help in understanding and forecasting future trends and development.
At Mickledore, we have been involved in discussions concerning Local Economic Assessments for over 12 months and prepared a number of assessments which were the forerunners of this statutory requirement.
This website sets out some of the requirements but we would be delighted to discuss the detail of your approach and share the experience that we have gained from working on other assignments.
